Top 5 Shoes Cleaners Out Right Now & Which One Is Right For You
Today we are going over the top 5 shoe cleaners I use and compare them to see which ones are worth the cash. If you are like me when it comes to wearing a pair of sneakers after you buy them, you wear them for two weeks straight. If you are familiar with Instagram were, they post the seven-day rotation and they post seven different sneakers, I really have never been that type.
If I’m really feeling a pair, I’m going to wear them for a couple of weeks straight. Because we tend to wear our sneakers consecutively, I took the time out to review five different sneaker cleaners and see which ones got the highest recommendations, as well as, best remarks for easy of use and cost.
SOF SOLE Instant Cleaner
So, for our first brand to try out we have the SOF SOLE Instant Cleaner. Honestly, I found this to be your typical shoe cleaner that you would find at you garden variety shoe store i.e. Footlocker. How this product works is basically you are going to spray the shoe cleaner on the shoes.
The instructions state that the cleaning form comes out in a gentle manner. Ok let me say that is not the case. If you are not careful you may end up spraying this on a wider area. So, when you spray this on the shoes be sure to push gently on the nozzle and an inch or two away from the desire area.
Another key part about this product is the orange top that serves as a brush for brushing in the foam. Observing the brush, I would not say that it’s the gentlest brush. In fact, I would say that it’s rough. So, if you are going to be cleaning a pair of sneakers that you care a lot, I really wouldn’t recommend this one. This is the type of shoe cleaner you get to just get the job done. A quick clean and out the door
Using this product was quick and easy to use, it also had an orange scent to it. Going back to the brush, I found myself having to be extra careful to not scratch the fabric, also the top-brush really didn’t get into the grooves like I would have liked. After about two minutes of scrubbing I wiped down the shoes (no water needed) I was impressed with how clean it left the sole. But like expected the brush didn’t get into all the groves.
Overall if you have a dirty pair of sneakers that are not too delicate for example a pair of gym shoes or basketball sneakers that you want just a bit cleaner.
Ease-of-use: 7/10 just watch out for that nozzle
Cost: 9/10 you can buy it for about $12
Functionality: 5/10 that top-brush just doesn’t do it for me

CREP Protect Cure Ultimate Shoe Cleaner
When I first purchased this product for $15.99, I noticed that it came in a small case, which I was impressed with. The travel case really is a good touch. I already saw how I could store this in my duffel bag for a quick clean while out on vacation.
The kit came with a microfiber cloth that show to be of good quality. Next the kit had a premium brush. The packaging boast that it had 17000 hog hair bristles. This gives an added benefit of being very delicate when scrubbing out dirt and wont scuff or scratch the fabric. Now you do need a couple of other things when it comes to cleaning. Such as a container to put warm water in.
I also noticed that the instruction specifies to use a generous amount of the cleaning solution to the brush. When every I read that I automatically think “I am going to have to buy more solution, more often”. Using this product, I have to say that the brush felt soft and felt like it was really getting in the spots that needed to be clean.
After about 3 minutes or so of scrubbing I used the microfiber cloth that it came with and I was extremely impress in such a small amount of time it really did the job. The sole was pretty dirty, and I could see a striking difference between the pair.
Cost: 6/10 again I had to use a good amount which means buying more
Functionality: 8/10 there is a lot of prep-time involve

Armorall Cleaning Wipes
Third on my list is the Armorall Cleaning wipes, okay so I know that these technically are not for sneaker cleaning but when I was doing my research it seemed like a lot of people were mentioning these especially on the NikeTalk forums. Now it does specifically say that they are gentle on many different types of materials and will not dry out or fade on different surfaces. They do mean on cars, but some materials are like that of sneakers.
One of the first things that I notice is that the wipes have a good smell and are moist, and the great thing about it is that they really can get in the groves for those tough to reach areas. What I discover was that with one wipe I could cover a huge surface area. It also picked up a lot of dirt on the first try.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and found them to be truly effective. I would keep using them. The only downside is that is that you must be careful on what type of sneakers you use it on. Some cloth fabrics may stain. The price is reasonable you can get over 100 wipes for about $6.50.
I would say that this is a great option if you need to do a quick wipe down and I can see these being good for everyday use.

Next, we have the RESHOEVN8R, this product by far has gotten some of the highest reviews on Amazon at 4.7/5 the highest that I have seen with respects to other shoe cleaners. I must say though that the price is steep at $30. But if you are serious about shoe cleaning you might want to go pick this one up.
With this shoe cleaner you are getting the whole solution along with three different brushes that have different purposes. The first brush is an all-purpose brush that can be used on pretty much anything. Next you have premium hog suede brush, and finally the one step brush for more harder surfaces.
Since this one had a good reputation, I thought I would test it out on some really used shoes. What you will notice on RESHOEVN8R is that the brushes have their listed purposes on them. I found that it made it easier to use. You will also notice that the solution is very foamy but oddly it didn’t have much of a smell to it.
When using the all-purpose brush, it didn’t feel as soft as others that I have used in the past; however, it did get foamy pretty quick. Also, this product did not come with a towel, at least the one I got. You would think for the price that it would come with one. After examination I must say that this product did deliver on what I expected it to do. Also, I did notice that all the little bristles started to fall off.
Easy-of-use: 7/10 no wipe does make it a bit more difficult
Cost: 2/10 kinda expensive

Jason Markk Shoe Cleaner
Finally, we have the famous Jason Markk. If you are not familiar with this brand, they have a couple of shops and if you want you can check out their website at https://jasonmarkk.com. This product is popular and have a long reputation of quality work.
Overall, its about $17 for the kit. It comes with a brush and cleaning solution and has high remarks on Amazon. Also, it is simple to use. Opening the package, you will notice that it doesn’t have a cloth, make sure you have your own.
What I really liked about the Jason Markk Cleaning kit is the smell. It has a good scent. You will notice that this product foams up quickly and the brush feels amazingly comfortable when using it. I would say that it worked better then the RESHOEVN8R. I was extremely impressed with Jason Markk Shoe cleaner. It did a great job on my sneakers and in a very short time.

Well guys that my take on the top five shoe cleaners right now. I would say that out of all the cleaners what surprised me the most was the Amorall wipes. They were easy to use, cheap and got the job done, and great for when you are in a pinch. However, for deep cleaning I am going to have to go with the CREP Protect and the Jason Markk. I liked the travel case of the CREP Protect and I really like the scent of the Jason Markk.
